Tomorrow morning I am having surgery on my eye. I have Macular Telangiectasia Type 2 (MacTel 2). It is a rare, progressive eye disease that affects the macula, the central part of the retina responsible for sharp, central vision. There has not been any treatment available until March 7, 2025.
